I am currently working hard for the exhibition of my paintings at the Haus der Kunst in Solothurn, January 07. At the moment the subject is an accident which appears to happen quite often here in Umbria: the old granny is put in front of the fireplace and eventually a piece of wood in flames falls on her... These self-portraits have been drawn in 1999, to illustrate the white paper about the swiss film crysis, commissioned by the former minister of culture Ruth Dreifuss. The critic text in the paper - and unfortunately the drawings as well - were then rejected by David Streiff, out of fear for public uproar at the film festival of Locarno.
